Went for my first post-partum bike ride today. Good grief. I'm fat, it was windy, and I'm out of shape!
So... has anyone won the lottery? I won't bore you with the details, but my doctor sent us to an out-of-network hospital. 12 days in NICU is not cheap. Especially when your insurance is only covering 60 percent...

wtf? An out of network one? Is your doctor going to help foot the bill.
Uhm, I think the fact that you went for the bike ride bodes well. Having a baby really messes with the body.
How was back to work? I've thought of you often.
Keep pedaling. Sounds like you need to consider today's ride as a baseline and compare future performances to it rather than to pre-Kaia performances.

Back to work has been... well, the suck. And she isn't even in daycare yet, she's home with my best friend. But it has still been a really rough week.
Good for you for taking a ride. Sorry that doctor bills are pain in the arses.
