She is SO beautiful!

Freaking Fevers

Man, this sucks. Kaia has another fever, thanks to vaccinations yesterday. I should just always assume that I'll be home from work the following day because she'll be sick. The next round of shots? She gets 5. Yep. FIVE. I can only imagine how much fun that will be! :D

She whimpers in her sleep when she doesn't feel good, and it is the saddest thing. She's doing it right now. Poor baby. :(

Pictures worth a thousand words?

I call this proof that A) Kaia feels much better and B) she doesn't mind going to school. :) They emailed me this photo today.

:(

In the style of Bloyd...

Weekend. Was. Hell.

Jay can attest, the little one did not have a good weekend. Which pretty much meant neither did any of us. Nonstop crying, screaming, snot and fever. We attributed the first three to teething, but when the fever arrived, we got a little concerned. It got to 101, and it says on the internet that 101 for babies under 6 months is serious business. It went down though and when the fever disappeared, our happy baby reappeared. It just didn't last long. Fever came and went and came and went. Today we got her to the doctor to find out she is NOT teething. She has an ear infection. :(

Ear infections suck.

The Greatest

At the benefit Saturday, a woman bought some things and said that she was on her way to Elite Repeat (consignment) and that if I wanted, I could take what she was going to donate so that she didn't have to go drop stuff off. I told her I would happily take whatever she wanted to give, and we traipsed off to her car with her little ones in tow.

She opened her trunk and pulled out a stroller (pretty nice one, too) and what you see on me in the picture. The greatest invention of all time: the infant backpack. Kaia is still a little too bobble-head-like for it right now, but she can stand it in small amounts and it feels fabulous on my back. It's so much better for me than carrying her in my high dollar sling (though not nearly as stylish) and is way more fun for her than being stuck in a stroller with no view.

I love my life!

Firsts

Kaia rolled over yesterday! Cory & I both missed it, of course. I laid her on her back in the pack & play and went to pump. Cory knew she was in there and got up to go check on her (something we do obsessively, by the way) and there she was, face down and mumbling. So now, we are going to obsessively worry that she's going to turn over and suffocate. Sigh.

So to the experienced moms out there, is this something we should worry about? I mean, she can lift her head up so she would just do that, right?

We bought her first school pictures last week. It was a cheesy beach summer theme, but I couldn't resist. I won't get to post those unless Cory scans them in, but at least a few of you out there will get a real, actual photo in the mail! Woohoo!

I kept trying to post the news 9 story on the Lawler benefit sale but I couldn't get it to work, so please go here and click on the video link. We're doing what we can to help, you know?

Wiggles and Giggles

This is the cutest baby store ever. Those of you who come to Stilly now and then should go in, especially if you have any new moms to buy for. That was not a hint. :)
